Did you get a nice new android based phone, but have found your battery draining a bit more than you’d like? You can see what’s been draining your battery by using the Battery Usage Screen (Settings > About Phone > Battery).
Sprint recently released an update for the Evo 4G, but users have had issues with it. Users who update their mobile device twice had their phone shutdown all together.
Users who weren’t able to update their phone correctly, but still have a usable phone should be seeing a new over-the-airupdate as early as today, according to HTC. The update is focused on enhancing the phones wifi capabilities.
The first update would come up after users would already apply the update, so naturally they applied, again. HTC pulled the update since finding out about the bug.
Sprint and Walmart have announced a prepaid calling plan that is affordable called Common Sense Mobile. The plan simply charges 7-cents per minute and 7-cents for each text message.
Two service plans are available:
$20 Refill card = 30 days of service, up to 565 minutes of talk
$30 Refill card = 60 days of service, up to 848 minutes of talk
Handsets available with the service plan includes the LG101® priced at just $19.77, the Samsung® M340 at $39.77, and the Kyocera® S2300 for $69.77.
Sprint has officially announced that the Evo 4G will be in stores June 4. The mobile device will be sold for $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate (with new or eligible upgrade and a two-year agreement).
The company also stated that the Evo will be one of the first phones in the U.S. to support live video chat.
It was rumored that the phone would be released June 6 or 13.
Evo is arguably the best phone on the market for the money. With Sprint’s “Simply Everything” phone plan applied, Evo clearly is cheaper to maintain than its closest rival, iPhone.
